Job summary

American Society of Civil Engineers is seeking a civil earthworks examinations engineer for rail surveys across the South East of England. The role involves delivering examinations in line with NR_L3_CIV_065 and supporting asset documentation and design work.

The ideal candidate has rail surveying experience, a solid engineering background, and Level 3 competency in Network Rail soil and rock examinations. PTS/COSS/IWA certificates are required for eligibility.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with rail surveying experience is essential.
• Experience delivering rail earthworks examinations and surveys.
• Level 3 competency in Network Rail Soil and Rock Examinations (GEO-I-S / GEO-I-R) required.
• PTS, COSS or IWA certification is required.

Responsibilities

Job description

Type: Contract Location: South East Rate : Dependant on Experience I am looking for a civil earthworks examinations engineer with a good engineering background, to deliver surveys on rail sites across the South East of England.

Role

You will have previous experience working in a similar role within a rail engineering environment. This role would suit a rail geotechnical surveyor.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Completion of Examinations in line with NR_L3_CIV_065
• Work to oversee asset documents.
• Assist with engineering design and plans as required
• Attend engineering reviews as required for allocated works.

Essential requirements:

• Engineering background
• Rail experience on surveying works
• Level 3 Competency in Network Rail's 'Soil Slope Examinations' (GEO-I-S) and Rock 'Slope Examinations' (GEO-I-R).
• PTS, COSS or IWA
