Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd. is seeking an experienced Asset Engineer to support earthwork examinations across the operational railway in York. You will produce high-quality examination records compliant with CIV/065 and safety standards.

The role requires Level 3 GEO-I-S and GEO-I-R competencies (earthworks), plus experience with JBA Database and GizMapp, and strong organisational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as Earthworks Examiner with Level 3 GEO-I-S and GEO-I-R competencies.
• Competency in CIV/065 standard and railway safety procedures.
• Proven experience using JBA Database and GizMapp.
• Strong planning, organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality earthworks examination records to CIV/065 standard.
• Work within Safe Systems of Work, including possessions and line blocks.
• Plan and prioritise workload to meet timescales.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with stakeholders.

Job description

Asset Engineer

Pay: £427 per day (inside IR35)

Location: York

Contract: 5 months

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Asset Engineer to support earthwork examinations across the operational railway.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in earthworks examinations, railway safety procedures and producing high-quality examination records to the required standards.

Key Requirements

• COSS or IWA competency to work on the operational railway.
• Level 3 competency in Soil Slope Examinations (GEO-I-S) and Rock Slope Examinations (GEO-I-R).
• Proven experience producing examinations to CIV/065 standard.
• Experience using the JBA Database and GizMapp.
• Good knowledge of railway geography and network capability.
• Strong understanding of railway Safe Systems of Work, including Separated Working, Possessions, Line Blocks and Blockades.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Good communication and customer-focused skills.
• Good IT skills and confidence using relevant operating systems.

About You

You will be an experienced Earthworks Examiner with the relevant Level 3 competencies and a strong understanding of working safely within an operational railway environment. You will be organised, detail-focused and able to deliver high-quality examinations within required timescales.
