Job summary

Lift Maltings is seeking an Exam Invigilator to help ensure examinations run smoothly. You will work under the direction of the Exams Officer to prepare rooms, check candidate identity and attendance, distribute papers and materials, and record start and finish times.

The role emphasises calm, secure supervision and strict adherence to procedures. You will supervise candidates during exams, respond to queries, report incidents, and assist with collecting scripts and resetting venues.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing large groups of people.
• Good literacy and communication skills; ability to give clear instructions.
• Ability to follow schedules and deadlines, solve problems and use initiative.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach, including during unexpected situations.
• Strong teamwork, professionalism and safeguarding focus.
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or equivalent; experience in education is desirable.

Job description

Are you organised, calm under pressure and confident working with groups of young people? We are looking for an Exam Invigilator to join Lift Maltings and help ensure examinations run smoothly.

About the role

As an Exam Invigilator, you will work under the direction of the Exams Officer to help create a calm, secure and well organised examination environment. You will prepare rooms, check candidate identity and attendance, distribute exam papers and materials, explain procedures clearly and record exam start and finish times.

During examinations, You will supervise candidates, maintain appropriate exam conditions, respond to queries without compromising exam integrity and record and report any incidents. You will also collect scripts and materials at the end of each exam and help restore the venue where required.
