Job summary

Lift Maltings is seeking an Exam Invigilator to help run examinations smoothly in a calm, secure environment. You will prepare rooms, verify identities, distribute papers and explain procedures clearly throughout the exam period.

You will supervise candidates, handle queries, report incidents and ensure compliance with exam regulations, with duties including collecting scripts and restoring the venue after exams. This is a casual, zero-hours contract.

Job description

Are you organised, calm under pressure and confident working with groups of young people? We are looking for an Exam Invigilator to join Lift Maltings and help ensure examinations run smoothly.

About the role

As an Exam Invigilator, you will work under the direction of the Exams Officer to help create a calm, secure and well organised examination environment. You will prepare rooms, check candidate identity and attendance, distribute exam papers and materials, explain procedures clearly and record exam start and finish times.

During examinations, You will supervise candidates, maintain appropriate exam conditions, respond to queries without compromising exam integrity and record and report any incidents. You will also collect scripts and materials at the end of each exam and help restore the venue where required.

• A student-focused approach and commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusion
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or equivalent, experience of working with children or in an education setting, and knowledge of exam procedures and protocols are desirable
