Job summary

Cornwallis Academy invites applications for Exam Invigilators to join a pool supporting internal and external examinations.

As an invigilator you will ensure JCQ regulations are followed, supervise candidates, distribute and collect papers, and assist candidates with needs while maintaining exam integrity. This is a flexible, term-time role with May/June peaks and additional ad hoc sessions.

Experience supervising secondary students is advantageous; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with secondary school age children is advantageous.
• Zero-hour contract; main working months May and June, plus November/December, March, and ad hoc times.

Responsibilities

• To ensure JCQ and awarding body regulations are followed during exams, for both internal and external examinations
• Be vigilant for instances of malpractice and report concerns to Exams Officer
• Distribute and collect exam papers
• To be aware of any needs that candidates may have during an examination.
• To ensure that no inappropriate/not allowed items are brought into an examination room.

Weare looking for enthusiastic, reliable, flexible and organised individuals tojoin our Exams Invigilation Team. The main purpose of this role is tosupervise internal and external examinations, ensuring that the guidelines andregulations for the integrity and security of the exams and procedures arefollowed during examination sessions. Duties include, but are not limited to,the following:

• Toensure JCQ and awarding body regulations are followed during exams, for bothinternal and external examinations
• Bevigilant for instances of malpractice and report concerns to Exams Officer
• Distributeand collect exam papers
• Tobe aware of any needs that candidates may have during an examination.
• Toensure that no inappropriate/not allowed items are brought into an examinationroom.

Successfulcandidates will work as part of a pool of invigilators. Previous experience ofworking with secondary school age children would be a distinct advantage, aswould any previous supervisory experience.

Pleasenote that, due to the nature of this position, this is a zero-hour contractjob. The main working months will be May and June each year, but alsoNovember/December and March, plus other ad hoc times throughout the year.
