Job summary

Stafflex Education is seeking Exam Invigilators to support secondary schools across Huddersfield and Kirklees for November 2026 through July 2027. Flexible, ad-hoc shifts that fit around your availability are offered.

You will prepare rooms, supervise examinations, ensure rules are followed and assist with candidate movement. Prior invigilation is preferred, but applicants with related education or support experience are welcome.

Qualifications

• Previous exam invigilation experience preferred.
• Candidates with experience in education or support-based roles are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Distribute and collect examination materials.

What will you be doing?

As an Exam Invigilator, you'll play an important role in ensuring exams run smoothly, fairly and in line with the required procedures. Duties may include:

• Preparing and setting up examination rooms
• Supervising students throughout examinations
• Ensuring exam rules and procedures are followed
• Distributing and collecting examination materials
• Supporting the orderly arrival and departure of candidates
• Maintaining a calm, quiet and professional exam environment
• Accompanying candidates when required, in accordance with exam procedures

What are we looking for?

Previous exam invigilation experience is preferred, but we'd also like to hear from candidates with relevant experience in education or support-based roles.

You'll need to be:

• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Confident working with secondary-age students
• A clear and effective communicator
• Able to follow procedures carefully and consistently
• Equipped with good literacy and numeracy skills
• Calm, organised and attentive to detail
