Job summary

Stafflex Education Recruitment Limited is seeking Exam Invigilators to support secondary schools across Huddersfield and Kirklees. This flexible, ad-hoc role offers November 2026 through July 2027 with opportunities throughout the academic year.

You will prepare exam rooms, supervise students, ensure rules are followed and manage materials, while staying calm, organised and professional. Prior experience is preferred and DBS checks and safeguarding compliance apply.

Qualifications

• Previous exam invigilation experience is preferred.
• Candidates with experience in education or support-based roles will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up examination rooms.
• Supervise students during examinations.
• Ensure exam rules and procedures are followed.
• Distribute and collect examination materials.
• Assist with orderly arrival and departure of candidates.
• Maintain a calm, quiet and professional exam environment.

What will you be doing?

As an Exam Invigilator, you'll play an important role in ensuring exams run smoothly, fairly and in line with the required procedures. Duties may include:

• Preparing and setting up examination rooms
• Supervising students throughout examinations
• Ensuring exam rules and procedures are followed
• Distributing and collecting examination materials
• Supporting the orderly arrival and departure of candidates
• Maintaining a calm, quiet and professional exam environment
• Accompanying candidates when required, in accordance with exam procedures

What are we looking for?

Previous exam invigilation experience is preferred, but we'd also like to hear from candidates with relevant experience in education or support-based roles.

You’ll need to be:

• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Confident working with secondary-age students
• A clear and effective communicator
• Able to follow procedures carefully and consistently
• Equipped with good literacy and numeracy skills
