Job summary

TeacherActive is currently seeking a reliable Exam Invigilator to support secondary schools in Sheffield. The role is temporary and part-time, with hours during exam periods and an ASAP start.

You will prepare examination rooms, supervise students, and manage materials in a calm, organised environment. The position offers hourly pay between £15 and £17.50, depending on qualifications and experience, and you will join a dedicated team providing flexible, professional staffing for busy exam

• Previous experience working within a school or examination environment is desirable
• A strong understanding of the importance of examination procedures and confidentiality
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to confidently supervise groups of secondary school students
• Excellent attention to detail
• A reliable, professional and flexible approach

The schools are looking for reliable and professional individuals who can help provide a calm, organised and supportive environment for students completing their exams.

The Exam Invigilator role is temporary and part time, with work available during exam seasons. The successful Exam Invigilator will be responsible for preparing examination rooms, supervising students, distributing and collecting examination materials, ensuring examination procedures are followed and maintaining appropriate conditions throughout each exam.

The successful Exam Invigilator will have:

• Previous experience working within a school or examination environment is desirable
• A strong understanding of the importance of examination procedures and confidentiality
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to confidently supervise groups of secondary school students
