Job summary

University of Bristol’s Source catering is seeking an enthusiastic Events Supervisor to join their team. You will work across multiple sites including halls of residence, event spaces, cafes, bars and a food court, delivering a range of events with leadership responsibilities.

The role supports the Conference & Events Manager, running events from setup to close, managing stock and equipment, and supervising casual staff. A full UK driving licence (held for at least 2 years) is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail catering or hospitality.
• Extensive experience catering for various functions, small or large, casual or formal.
• Highly organized and self-motivated, able to problem solve and take responsibility.
• Supervisory experience of casual staff, able to delegate tasks and maintain high standards.
• Hold a full UK driving licence, valid for a minimum of 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist with running events from setup to close, ensuring smooth delivery.
• Oversee stock and equipment orders and readiness for use at each function.
• Supervise casual staff on events and coordinate tasks.
• Liaise with clients on the day to ensure expectations are met.
