We are currently looking for an Events Manager to join our Marketing function within the Enablement group.
This is a full-time opportunity, on a 12-month fixed term contract (Maternity Leave). The role will be based at 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London, E14 4PU. There may be requirements to travel to South Mimms, Hertfordshire, or other locations, and occasional work outside regular hours with time off in lieu. Please note, this role is UK-based only.
Government departments aim for a minimum of 60% in-office attendance. We are adopting a flexible, hybrid working model requiring a minimum of 8 days per month onsite, which can increase to 12 days depending on business needs.
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) improves health outcomes through effective regulation of medicines and devices. Our Communications and Enablement group supports the agency's objectives, focusing on putting patients and the public first. The Marketing team develops and protects our brands, delivers marketing plans, manages research projects, and runs income-generating events.
The Events Manager will plan and execute impactful in-person, hybrid, and virtual events, exhibitions, and speaker opportunities to meet income and engagement goals, exceeding delegate expectations. Responsibilities include promoting events via web, email, and social media, using innovative technologies, evaluating event impact, and supporting the Events Lead in developing new events and handling queries.
