This role historically receives a high volume of applications, so to help us identify the best candidate for our squad, we truly appreciate cover letters that showcase your passion for the role, our mission and of course - cats and dogs

A Bit About The Role

If you’re the kind of person who loves an organised calendar, thrives on relationship-building and gets a buzz from seeing ideas come to life on the ground – this one’s for you.

We’re looking for an organised, high-energy go-getter to join our vibrant Sales Operations team, part of the wider Direct Sales department. Our core mission is to generate sales for the business through a variety of different channels.

One of those key channels is Events; we attend hundreds each year across the country, to meet new potential customers for both Butternut Box and Marro.

As an Events Coordinator, you’ll play a really important role in our roadmap planning and execution. You’ll be responsible for sourcing new event opportunities for both brands, coordinating a packed and fast-moving roadmap and managing the entire A-Z of multiple events each week. You’ll work closely with the wider team to ensure events we attend not only run smoothly but also hit performance targets - keeping our KPIs healthy and our growth on track.

This is your chance to dive into a role that blends forward-thinking planning, strategic coordination, and people-powered execution. You’ll plan and execute an events roadmap that fuels growth and ensures we deliver best-in-class experiences across every touchpoint.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the events roadmap: Research, book, and coordinate a diverse range of events to ensure consistent, high-quality acquisitions for both Butternut Box and Marro.
  • Master the details: Set the events up for success. Ensure no detail goes overlooked. Securing prime stand locations, booking suitable accommodation & keeping clear & consistent communication with the team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with Brand Ambassadors, the logistics team, and Regional Sales Managers to deliver smooth, impactful event experiences.
  • Build strong external relationships: Maintain great relationships with new and existing event organisers, representing the brand and ensuring everyone leaves with a positive experience of Butternut Box & Marro.
  • Negotiate smartly: Secure the best possible deals on event bookings, stand locations & packages to keep both our costs aligned with department targets and maximise ROI.
  • Champion key metrics: Track and analyse event performance against KPIs, sharing actionable insights to help refine our strategy and drive growth.

A Bit About You.

  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
  • You have relevant experience in an events, business development or a sales role.
  • You are a natural planner with high attention to detail.
  • You are proactive, take ownership and make things happen.
  • You are an excellent communicator, both in person and virtually.
  • You solve problems efficiently and handle unforeseen issues with ease.
  • You are ambitious, motivated and eager to learn from others.
  • You can juggle competing priorities whilst delivering quality work.
  • You love cats and dogs (duh).

A bit about us.

  • **Butternut Box:** Kev and Dave (our founders) started Butternut Box with a simple belief, dogs deserve better. So we put the food back into dog food, creating freshly prepared, gently cooked meals with real ingredients and none of the nasties. From our first hand-delivered box to feeding thousands of dogs across the UK and Europe, our mission is the same: to help dogs live healthier, happier, and longer lives. We're proud to be B-Corp certified, committed to people, planet, and pups.
  • **Marro:** Cats deserve better too. Marro was born to fix what’s broken in the cat food world, confusing labels, poor nutrition, and uninspired meals. We’re here to make cat care simple, joyful, and full of love, with tasty, nutritionally complete meals that help cats thrive. Our goal? Healthier, happier cats and more confident, relaxed cat parents.

A Bit About What We Offer.

  • 25 days holiday (plus 8 bank holidays) and an additional day for every year of service
  • 5 paid ‘paws’ days per year to support to learning and/or wellbeing
  • £500 personal learning & development budget
  • Butternut Box/Marro employee discount
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Co-working (gorgeous!) office space.
  • Flexible working hours and work from home options
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Pension with NEST
  • Private Medical Insurance with Vitality
  • Private Dental Insurance with Bupa
  • Time off for fertility treatments and pregnancy loss
  • Paid sabbaticals for squad members with 5 or more years at Butternut
  • Discounted gym access through MyGymDiscounts
  • Lots of office dogs (Ajax, Brio, Basil, Chief, Chorizo, Lenny, Jasper, Peggy, Pip and many more….)

Our interview process:

  • Application review
  • Initial call (30 minutes): Introductory chat with our Recruiter.
  • Take home task: This will be sent to you via email and will be used to understand more about your technical skills.
  • Technical interview (60 minutes): Remote interview where you’ll be asked a number of scenario and competency based questions.
  • Final interviews (60 minutes) : In person interviews in our office in White City where we will want to understand how your values align with our business values.

️ Logistics:

  • This team works 3 days per week from our West London office (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) and 2 days from home. This is non negotiable, so please only apply if you’re within a reasonable commute of London.
  • We reserve the right to close the position if we receive a lot of applications. We’re a small recruitment team so do bear with us - we aim to respond to all applicants personally.
  • We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
  • We are not looking for recruitment agency support for this role.

️A few things to note:

  • Butternut Box and Marro are an equal opportunity employer, and we value diversity and inclusion. We welcome people of different nationalities, backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and perspectives.
  • As our business has grown, so has our responsibility to our community, our planet, and our business. We are not perfect, but we are committed to doing business the right way and continually improving our social and environmental performance.
  • We’re not afraid of putting extra weight on candidates from underrepresented groups. We want strong, diverse teams built from different backgrounds, experiences, and identities. We’re ready for the ongoing work that goes into building an inclusive, supportive place for you to do the best work of your career.
