Job summary

House of Commons is seeking an Events Coordinator to own a portfolio of Member-hosted and commercial events. From initial enquiry to delivery, you will guide clients through planning, creating exceptional experiences in a prestigious venue.

You will coordinate with catering, security and facilities, manage deadlines and budgets, and ensure compliance with policies, licensing and venue protocols. A fast-paced environment calls for strong relationship-building and problem solving.

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing multiple events end-to-end in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships while upholding values of inclusion.
  • Strong customer service and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information professionally during high-profile events.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of a varied portfolio of Member-hosted and commercial events from enquiry to delivery.
  • Guide clients through the planning journey and translate requirements into event plans.
  • Coordinate with catering, security, and facilities teams and produce event documentation.
  • Ensure events meet policies, licensing, security requirements and venue protocols.
  • Identify commercial opportunities and respond to changing demands; use feedback to improve services.

What you'll be doing

Join the House of Commons Events Team as an Events Coordinator and take ownership of a varied portfolio of Member-hosted and commercial events around the House. From initial enquiry through to successful delivery, you'll guide clients through the planning journey, creating exceptional experiences within one of the UK's most prestigious venues. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised, confident events professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two events are the same. You'll build trusted relationships with MPs, clients and internal teams, translating requirements into seamless event plans while managing deadlines, budgets and operational priorities. You'll coordinate with catering, chefs, security and facilities teams, produce accurate event documentation, and ensure every event meets House policies, security requirements, licensing legislation and venue protocols. You'll also identify commercial opportunities, respond confidently to changing demands and use client feedback to improve services.
