Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day activities of the conference and meeting room areas
• Actively promote hotel to generate business with both new and existing clients
• Ensure knowledge of local market including attractions, direct competitors & venues
• Liaise and communicate with other departments
• Assist with planning, development and implementation of promotional strategies and marketing
• Assist with pricing and preparation of banquet menus and beverage lists
• Coordinate with suppliers for conference and banqueting needs
• Attend weekly department meetings
• Support with inspection checklists, reports, and cost-control measures
• Oversee banquet food and beverage quality and service
• Supervise banqueting department staff and maximize profitability
• Contribute to department meetings
• Familiarise with core values and legal regulations
• Undertake special duties as needed
