Job summary

Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, is seeking an Events Assistant on a fixed-term contract until the end of December. The role is 8 hours per week in Edinburgh, paying £13.20 per hour plus service charge.

You will be joining a global hotel family and supporting memorable events with warmth and professionalism. The position offers flexible hours, full on-site duties, and opportunities for training and progression within the Kimpton and IHG brands.

Qualifications

• Experience working in events, bar, restaurant or hotel environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to assist with event setup and lifting.

A fantastic ,Fixed-Term opportunity until the end of December, for an Events Assistant to join our team at Kimpton Charlotte Square on an 8-hours per week contract!

You will earn £13.20 per hour, plus service charge.

As an Events Assistant, you'll be 100% you, bringing your authentic personality to everything you do; be the ultimate host, confidently leading yourself and making creative decisions that elevate every interaction; and spark joy, using every tool available to craft meaningful and memorable experiences.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be working across a wide range of events such as Birthdays, Weddings, Conferences and Baby Showers to provide customers with excellent service, working to a fast pace and ensuring the smooth running of our operations. Apart from service during the event, you will be helping with event setup - so some heavy lifting is involved with the role.

• Flexibility of working hours, you might have late finishes and early starts depending on which event you are supporting!
• Experience working at Events, within a Bar, Restaurant or Hotel as a Waiter/Waitress, Server or Host
• Drive to produce results, we work together within the Kimpton family to continue to provide our guests with extremely personal experiences and human connection.
• A warm and authentic personality, with a can-do attitude and commitment to service.
