Job description

Are you an experienced events professional with a strong background in delivering live events and managing operations? Do you have experience sourcing venues, managing budgets, leading teams and taking ownership of multiple projects at once?

We are looking for an experienced Events & Operations Manager to take a leading role within our growing international events business.

This is a hands‑on position for someone who can take responsibility, work independently and oversee both the planning and delivery of events as well as wider day‑to‑day company operations.

The Company

TCCHE is a small international events and education company producing events with well‑known authors, speakers and performers across the UK, US, Canada and other international locations.

Our work focuses particularly on personal development, consciousness, wellbeing and the bridge between science and spirituality.

We produce conferences, theatre‑style speaking events, workshops, retreats and live performance events. More information can be found at www.tcche.org.

Responsibilities
  • Source and secure venues for events internationally, including researching suitable venues, making initial approaches, obtaining proposals and negotiating commercial terms.
  • Manage venue relationships from initial enquiry through contracting and event delivery.
  • Develop and maintain event budgets, including forecasting, supplier costs, deposits, payment schedules and final reconciliation.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of events from initial concept through to completion.
  • Manage production and logistics for conferences, theatre‑style events, workshops and other live events.
  • Manage event timelines, operational plans and key deadlines.
  • Delegate work effectively and ensure projects are being completed to agreed standards and deadlines.
  • Assist with recruitment and management of temporary event staff and volunteers where required.
  • Support the general day‑to‑day operations of the company and help ensure systems and processes are running effectively.
  • Identify operational problems and implement practical solutions.
  • Work across departments including marketing, finance, ticketing and customer service to ensure events are delivered successfully.
  • Manage event stock, merchandise and associated logistics where required.
  • Attend events in the UK and internationally and take a senior operational role onsite.
  • Handle other operational and event‑related responsibilities as required within a small and fast‑moving company.
Requirements
  • Strong professional background in the events industry.
  • Significant experience managing and delivering live events.
  • Experience sourcing, evaluating and negotiating with venues.
  • Experience creating and managing event budgets.
  • Experience managing suppliers and commercial relationships.
  • Previous managerial experience, including managing staff, freelancers or event teams.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence negotiating costs and contractual terms.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage several events and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, common sense and a practical approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Confident working with budgets, spreadsheets and financial information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Comfortable working in a small business where responsibilities may extend beyond a narrowly defined role.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally and work occasional weekends when events take place.
Industry Knowledge

Experience or a strong understanding of our niche is highly desirable.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked within or have a genuine understanding of areas such as:

  • Personal development
  • Wellness and wellbeing
  • Consciousness and spirituality
  • Mind‑body health
  • Educational conferences
  • Author and speaker events
  • Theatre‑style talks and live experiences

Experience working directly with authors, speakers, performers or recognised public figures would also be advantageous.

Personal Attributes

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised and dependable with strong ethical values.
  • Comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions.
  • Commercially minded and confident negotiating.
  • Calm under pressure.
  • Proactive rather than waiting to be instructed.
  • Able to see both the detail and the bigger picture.
  • A strong manager and communicator.
  • Comfortable working directly with senior management.
  • Resourceful and able to find solutions quickly.
  • Genuinely interested in producing exceptional events and experiences.
Working Hours

The position is full‑time, normally Monday to Friday.

The role is primarily remote, although some office or venue‑based work may be required.

Event work will occasionally require evenings and weekends, with international travel an important part of the position.

What to Expect

You will work directly with company leadership and have significant responsibility for the planning and operation of our events.

You will regularly deal with venues, suppliers, speakers, performers, partners and other senior external contacts.

As a small company, we are looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership rather than working within a highly departmentalised corporate structure. There might be tasks outside of the remit of this role and we're looking for a can‑do attitude.

The position offers the opportunity to play an important role in the continued growth of an international events company and to have a direct influence on how our events and operations develop.

Salary: Subject to experience.
