Job summary

GuardPass Limited is seeking an Event Security Steward to help ensure safety and well-being at venues. You will support security staff and work to create a safe, enjoyable environment for staff and guests.

The role requires strong customer service, reliability, and the ability to work both in a team and independently, with a smart, presentable appearance and confident communication at all levels.

Qualifications

• SIA license required or advantageous for the role.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable with a good attendance record.
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
• Presentable and confident under pressure.

Job Purpose

Working as an Event Security Steward you will be ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone who falls under your responsibility (including customers, staff and the public in your area).

Job Overview

As an Event Steward, you will be an essential part of the venue safety team. You will support the security staff and teams to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and secure working environment for both staff and guests.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and employees in a professional and courteous manner and providing a positive customer experience
• Assist the security incident reporting and crowd management to ensure the safety, security and care of staff and guests
• Full of energy and capable of remaining calm under pressure, you will have a warm personality and good observation abilities,
• Take a responsible approach to the venue/event customer service function.

Requirements

• SIA Door Supervisor / SIA Close Protection Licence (advantageous)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Reliable with a good attendance record
• Must be able to work in a team and alone
• Presentable and smart
• Be confident in communicating at all levels
• First Aid certificate (preferred but not essential)
• Driver with own transport
• Experience in working at large events
