We’re now recruiting for the 2026/2027 season, offering you the chance to work at one of the UK’s most prestigious sporting venues and be right at the heart of the action. Across the season, almost 1 million racegoers will pass through the gates — and you could be there helping make their experience safe, smooth, and memorable.
In addition, there will be opportunities to work conference and events shifts throughout the year at the racecourse, plus occasional chances to support our other contracts.
As an Event Security Officer, you’ll represent Carlisle Support Services, the trusted supplier of event stewards and security for Cheltenham Racecourse. This is a lively, people-focused role where no two days are the same. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring events run safely and professionally, while delivering outstanding customer service to visitors.
Previous experience isn’t essential — full training is provided — but you’ll need to meet the following criteria:
Successful candidates must attend a pre-start induction and provide original documents for screening and vetting. These may include a passport, driving licence, utility bill dated within the last 3 months, HMRC letter, original bank statement or payslip, birth certificate, or a valid share code.
