Fairmont St Andrews is seeking an Event Operations Assistant Manager to join the Food & Beverage team. You will support the Event Operations Manager with conferences, banquets, private dining and large-scale events, ensuring flawless execution and Fairmont-standard service.

You will lead and motivate the Events team, manage client expectations, coordinate spaces and work across Planning, Culinary, F&B and Technical Services to deliver memorable experiences in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Events, Banqueting or F&B operations.
• Supervisory or team-leading experience within hospitality.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead a team and decision during busy events.

Responsibilities

• Support the Event Operations Manager with the day-to-day running of conferences, banquets, private dining and events across the resort.
• Lead, motivate and support the Event Operations team to deliver service to Fairmont standards.
• Coordinate event spaces to ensure timely setup and client requirements.
• Act as a main contact for clients and guests during events and respond quickly to requests.
• Collaborate with Events Planning, Culinary, F&B and Technical Services teams for seamless delivery.
• Manage setup, service and clear-down of events and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Assist with stock control, inventories and ordering of equipment and supplies.
• Support payroll and departmental cost management to stay within budget.
• Ensure high standards of presentation, cleanliness, health and safety.
• Support training and development of colleagues to maintain service quality.
