Job summary

Berry Recruitment Group is recruiting a Monitoring Support Officer in the Southampton area to join a busy, service-focused team. The role supports Field Monitoring Officers by ensuring risks, safeguarding and service issues are promptly escalated.

Responsibilities include assisting with equipment handling, note-taking, and handling light duties. The position requires weekend availability (Mon-Sun, 5:30pm-1am) and a DBS check; own transport is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Sound judgement and clear communication are essential.
• Attention to detail to ensure safe, compliant service delivery.
• Ability to work as part of a field team to support monitoring activities.
• Willingness to be flexible with shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support Field Monitoring Officers with installing and decommissioning monitoring equipment.
• Be an extra pair of eyes for the Field Monitoring Officer at the address.
• Assist with carrying equipment (not heavy).
• Record notes for the FMO and perform light duties as required.
• Respond calmly during high demand, disruption or incidents.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and escalate accordingly.
• Protect sensitive information and share only with authorised recipients.
