Job summary

Southdown is recruiting a Recovery Specialist in Brighton to deliver mental health support during evenings and weekends under a zero-hours arrangement. You will work within Staying Well, a crisis intervention service aimed at empowering clients to manage wellbeing in the community.

Responsibilities include creating safety plans using the Recovery Model and linking clients to available mental health resources, with mandatory training several times a year.

Qualifications

• Experience of mental health challenges
• Good understanding of working in partnership to support people in a community setting
• Knowledge of mental health services and a desire to support people in recovery
• An enhanced DBS check, paid for by Southdown

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health support and hope to clients in a social setting or Crisis Café delivery model
• Use the Recovery Model to create safety plans and explore services or resources with clients
• Attend mandatory face-to-face training sessions held in Lewes, East Sussex
