Job summary

Norwich City Council is seeking a CCTV Monitoring Operator to join the community safety team in Norwich. The role involves monitoring CCTV networks to help keep people and property safe in public spaces.

Shifts are variable, with evening work on Fridays and Saturdays, plus occasional weekday evenings and event coverage. Training for the SIA Public Space (CCTV) Licence is provided after recruitment, with induction sessions scheduled during office hours.

Qualifications

• SIA Public Space (CCTV) Licence is required or must be obtained soon after recruitment.
• Training will be provided by a specialist provider over three days, Monday to Wednesday.
• Induction training sessions will occur on a weekday during office hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV to support safety and security in public spaces.
• Provide timely information to assist enforcement and incident response.
• Support the council in maintaining safe and secure community spaces.
