Job summary

Bleckmann UK is seeking a shift supervisor to lead a designated warehouse area, ensuring safe operations, staff development and client satisfaction. The role runs Tuesday to Saturday, 16:00–00:00, with a salary around £33,000 depending on skills and experience, plus a shift allowance.

You will manage staff, uphold safety, coach the team, handle performance processes and drive continuous improvement to meet KPIs and service levels across the floor.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience within logistics, retail, or e-commerce environments.
• Proven ability to manage teams and drive performance.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (JDA or similar) and warehousing processes.
• Delivers accurate, high-quality work while seeking continuous improvement.
• Strong communication and engagement skills with the team.
• Automation experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned floor or area within the warehouse, overseeing operations, people and client relationships.
• Plan labour, equipment, and activities during the shift to meet KPIs.
• Foster a safe working culture and support team development and training.
• Oversee performance management, disciplinary procedures and attendance per policies.
• Drive continuous improvement and support ad hoc projects as needed.
• Be accountable for team performance against KPIs like productivity and service levels.
