Job summary

Pace Protection and Training Ltd is seeking a Security Supervisor for a prestigious show jumping venue. This part-time, evening/event-based role requires you to lead security officers on site, coordinate deployments and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for guests and VIPs.

You will supervise and brief the team, monitor access points, and escalate incidents to Pace management. Strong English communication, SIA DS Licence and previous supervisory security experience are essential.

Qualifications

• SIA Door Supervisor Licence required.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Previous security experience essential.
• Previous supervisory or team-leader experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Flexible availability for evenings, midweek and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate security officers deployed across the venue.
• Conduct shift briefings and ensure officers understand duties and deployment.
• Ensure staff comply with site instructions and client requirements.
• Maintain a professional supervisory presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits and restricted areas for access control.
• Conduct routine patrols of grounds, stables and event areas.
• Monitor officer standards (punctuality, uniform, conduct).
• Allocate and reposition officers as operations require.
• Provide courteous contact for visitors, competitors, staff and VIPs.
• Manage crowd control during busy periods and high-profile events.
• Take initial control of security incidents and emergencies.
• Record, report and escalate incidents appropriately.
• Liaise with venue management, event organisers, Pace management and emergency services as needed.
• Ensure effective handovers between security personnel and site rules compliance.
