Job summary

Pace is seeking a professional Security Supervisor to lead security operations at a prestigious show jumping venue in the UK. This hands-on supervisory role oversees security officers on site, ensuring a safe, secure and welcoming environment for guests, competitors, staff and VIPs.

You will act as the primary contact for the security team during shifts, deploy officers, brief on duties, monitor access control and ensure compliance with site instructions and client requirements.

Qualifications

• SIA Door Supervisor Licence - essential.
• Previous security experience - essential.
• Previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate security officers deployed across the venue.
• Conduct shift briefings and ensure officers understand duties.
• Ensure compliance with site instructions and client requirements.
• Maintain a professional supervisory presence.
• Monitor access control at entrances and restricted areas.
• Conduct routine patrols of grounds, stables and event areas.
• Monitor officer standards, including punctuality, uniform, conduct and professionalism.
• Allocate and reposition officers as needed.
• Provide a professional and courteous point of contact for visitors, competitors, staff and VIPs.
• Manage crowd control during busy periods and high-profile events.
• Take initial control of security incidents and emergencies.
• Ensure incidents are recorded, reported and escalated.
• Liaise with venue management, event organisers, Pace management and emergency services as required.
• Ensure effective handovers between security personnel.
• Enforce site rules, health & safety requirements and security procedures.
• Escalate staffing, conduct, safeguarding, safety or operational concerns to Pace management promptly.
• The Company will provide full site-specific training and documentation.

Job description

We are seeking a professional, experienced and highly reliable Security Supervisor to lead security operations at a prestigious show jumping venue.

This is a hands-on supervisory position requiring the successful candidate to oversee security officers on site while maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for guests, competitors, staff and VIPs.

The Security Supervisor will act as the primary point of contact for the security team during their shift and will be responsible for ensuring that all officers are correctly deployed, site procedures are followed and any incidents or concerns are appropriately managed and escalated.

A high standard of professionalism, communication, leadership and personal presentation is essential.

Working Hours

• Evening shifts, typically 20:00 - 02:00
• Part-time, event-based position
• Shifts available midweek and weekends
• Flexibility required according to the venue's event schedule
• Further event dates will be provided in advance where possible

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate security officers deployed across the venue
• Conduct shift briefings and ensure officers understand their individual duties and deployment
• Ensure all security staff comply with site instructions, company procedures and client requirements
• Maintain a professional and visible supervisory security presence
• Monitor entrances, exits and restricted areas to ensure appropriate access control
• Conduct routine patrols of the grounds, stables and event areas
• Monitor officer standards, including punctuality, uniform, conduct and professionalism
• Allocate and reposition officers where operational requirements change
• Provide a professional and courteous point of contact for visitors, competitors, staff and VIPs

Support the Company in maintaining consistently high standards of service delivery at the venue, The successful candidate will receive full site-specific training, including all relevant site documentation, procedures, responsibilities and reporting requirements.

The Company Director will personally oversee the initial site training and documentation to ensure the Supervisor is fully briefed and confident in the requirements of the role.
