Hotel Indigo Cardiff is seeking a motivated chef to join our kitchen team. The role offers evening shifts from 4pm to 10pm, 30 hours over five days, with occasional morning shifts as required.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in cooking and willingness to learn in a professional kitchen.
• Some kitchen experience is a plus, but a willingness to work hard and learn is essential.
• Understanding of basic food prep techniques.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organised workstation, following hygiene and food safety standards rigorously.
• Bring creativity to every plate, ensuring high standards of presentation and taste.
• Work closely with the restaurant team to deliver dishes on time.
• Prepare ingredients for various dishes, from chopping to marinating and portioning.
• Keep the kitchen flowing by prepping and organising for seamless service.
• Assist with kitchen inventory, monitor stock levels and inform the kitchen manager when supplies are low.
• Kitchen Porter duties as required.
