Job summary

Wycombe Abbey is seeking a Day Matron to join the Boarding House team for girls aged 11–17. The role involves supporting the Housemistress and Senior Resident Matron, maintaining a warm, well-organised environment and ensuring high standards of appearance and hygiene.

You will manage the House Dispensary, record keeping and assist with day-to-day running and administrative tasks to support pupils and staff. This is a term-time only, permanent position with a probationary period.

Qualifications

• Pastoral care experience desirable to support pupils aged 11–17.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for staff and pupils.
• Proficiency with basic IT tasks and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral support and help create a welcoming boarding environment.
• Assist with House routine, dispensary, medical records, clothing, laundry and admin tasks.
