Job summary

Wellington College in Berkshire is seeking a calm, practical Matron to support a positive boarding experience for pupils. You will oversee the house's domestic provision, liaising with health staff and pastoral colleagues to ensure a safe, comfortable environment and timely care for pupils.

Working closely with residential staff, you will manage housekeeping, laundry, records and safeguarding, while remaining discreet and compassionate.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in a school or boarding setting.
• Ability to balance domestic, administrative and pupil-focused responsibilities.
• Comfort with using digital systems and safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee house housekeeping, laundry and presentation.
• Coordinate rota arrangements and supplies for the house.
• Maintain medical, welfare and safeguarding records; escalate concerns promptly.
