Job summary

Wycombe Abbey invites applications for Day Matrons to support boarding houses and duties with girls aged 11-17. Working under the Housemistress and Senior Resident Matron, you’ll help create a welcoming, supportive environment.

This is a flexible, term-time only, permanent role with a probation period. Responsibilities include routines, medications, clothing, records, pastoral support, and admin tasks, with a shift pattern in Shelburne House.

Qualifications

• Positive interaction with and understanding of the needs of young people.
• Good IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure House routines are followed and standards of appearance and personal hygiene are maintained.
• Run the House Dispensary and dispense simple medication; maintain medical records.
• Oversee the girls' clothes and laundry; keep the House tidy.
• Provide pastoral support to pupils and perform admin tasks for the Housemistress.
