Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Bury Forestwood in the United Kingdom is seeking an Activity Coordinator to support occupational therapy-led activities for young people. This part-time role is 18 hours per week, with three evening days (4pm–10:30pm) and occasional weekend scheduling, contributing to the patients' recovery and engagement in activities.

You will assist the Occupational Therapist, encourage participation, plan therapy activities, and help create a therapeutic, safe environment across multiple

Qualifications

• Experience and/or a passion for working in healthcare and with Mental Health
• Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy
• A creative flair and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
• An awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Encouraging patients to access and become involved in activities and maintain hobbies
• Plan and implement therapy programmes, ensuring materials are obtained
• Contribute ideas, facilitate events and activities in a safe manner
