Job summary

Cygnet Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Part Time Activity Coordinator to support young people at Cygnet Hospital Bury Forestwood, with 18 hours per week across three days and evenings, including alternative weekends.

You will assist the Occupational Therapist, plan activities, promote participation, and help with therapy programmes while ensuring safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or passion for working in healthcare and with Mental Health.
• Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy.
• A creative flair and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• An awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable)

We are looking for a Part Time Activity Coordinator to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Bury Forestwood.

You'll be working18 hours per week (3 days per week from 4pm - 10:30pm including alternative weekends) making a real positive difference to the lives of young people in our care at Cygnet Hospital Bury Forestwood.

Cygnet Forestwood offers CAMHS Tier 4 PICU, General Acute and Low Secure services across four wards which provide a defined treatment pathway from admission through to intervention and discharge including rapid assessment and treatment.

Each service user has a bedroom with en suite facilities and a range of communal spaces including a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways down to the Elton Reservoir.

In addition there is a diverse educational programme teaching a range of subjects available at the on-site school, Forestwood School, which is registered with the Department for Education.

Your Day-to-Day

We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the care of patients at the service by assisting the Occupational Therapist with;

• Encouraging patients to access and become involved in a variety of activities as well maintaining any pre-existing hobbies.
• Planning and implementing therapy programmes whilst ensuring appropriate materials are obtained
• Contributing ideas, facilitating events and activities in a safe manner

We're looking for someone who has
