Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Bury Forestwood is seeking a Part Time Activity Coordinator to support the care of young people in CAMHS Tier 4 services. You will assist the Occupational Therapist, help patients engage in activities, and contribute to therapy planning in a multidisciplinary team.

The role is 18 hours per week, 4pm–10:30pm with alternate weekends, at Cygnet Forestwood. A background in healthcare and an interest in mental health are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or a passion for working in healthcare and with Mental Health.
• Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy.
• A creative flair and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• An awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance care by assisting the Occupational Therapist with patients.
• Encourage patients to access and become involved in activities and hobbies.
• Plan and implement therapy programmes and ensure materials are obtained.
• Contribute ideas and facilitate events and activities safely.
