Job summary

JCT600 LTD in England is seeking a Workshop Controller who leads from the front, combining workshop control with administrative tasks to keep the aftersales department running smoothly. You will work on a wide range of vehicles including EVs and hybrids, carry out diagnostics, warranty work, and supervise on-site technicians while maintaining high standards.

This hands-on role rewards a proactive communicator with a customer-first approach and a commitment to ongoing training and career

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a vehicle technician, ideally with multi-brand exposure.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication to explain technical issues clearly.
• Customer-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front in workshop operations and administrative tasks.
• Handle a wide range of vehicles from petrol/diesel to EV/hybrids, and supervise multi-brand work.
• Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and routine maintenance; diagnose faults and warranty work.
• Deliver clear technical explanations to customers and ensure high standards across the team.

We are looking for a Workshop Controller who leads from the front. This is a hands-on, semi-productive role, combining workshop control and administrative tasks, with active involvement on the tools. You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the aftersales department, while maintaining high technical standards across both traditional and next generation vehicles. What You'll Be Working On

• A wide range of vehicles - from petrol & diesel models to brand-new EV and hybrid technology
• Multi-franchise diagnostic and repair work
• Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new vehicles including Changan & XPENG EV
• Fault-finding, warranty work and general maintenance
• Proven experience as a vehicle technician, ideally with multi-brand exposure
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication to explain technical issues clearly
• Customer-first attitude
• Full UK driving licence (free from excessive penalties)
• Annual leave: 34 days including bank holidays, increasing to 36 days (5 years) and 38 days (10 years)
