Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking a qualified mechanic to prepare customers' cars for the road with meticulous care and pride. You will work on a wide range of models, using modern diagnostic tools and following checklists to ensure quality and safety.

Training to become an EV accredited Technician is provided, with flexible hours, generous leave, private healthcare and other benefits. Overtime is paid at time and a half, and salary reviews occur annually.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and automotive industry experience.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a busy team with good attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and capability to follow instructions precisely.
• Valid full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues using diagnostic equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts and test roadworthiness.
• Perform DVSA testing where authorised and document results.
