Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Inverness is seeking a skilled mechanic to prepare customers’ vehicles for the road ahead, performing servicing, repairs and diagnostics across a wide range of manufacturers.

You will join a capable team, enjoy flexible hours and generous leave, with a salary of £40,000–£50,000, company benefits including private healthcare, pension and ongoing EV accreditation training.

Qualifications

• A certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3
• Strong communication skills with customers and team members
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Full driving licence required

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards
• Inspecting engines and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues
• Repairing or replacing faulty parts as needed
• Carrying out DVSA vehicle testing (where authorised)
• Road testing vehicles to check repairs
• Maintaining equipment and tools in good condition
• Following checklists to ensure procedures are completed
• Completing all documentation to required standard
