Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking a skilled mechanic in Lancashire to prepare vehicles for road use and maintain meticulous standards. You will work with a diverse range of manufacturers, staying up to date with the latest vehicle technology.

Starting from 33 days annual leave, flexible hours, toolbox cover, EV accreditation training and generous employee discounts accompany a competitive salary and overtime paid at time and a half. Employment is subject to references and checks.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 with industry experience.
• Ability to work independently or in a busy team.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain high standards.
• Proactive and enthusiastic approach; follow written and spoken instructions.
• Full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical components, diagnose issues with diagnostics.
• Repair or replace defective parts; repair quality checks.
• Perform DVSA vehicle testing if authorised.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Maintain equipment and keep tools in good condition.
• Follow checklists and complete documentation to required standard.
