Job summary

Arnold Clark is seeking skilled mechanics to prepare vehicles for the road, performing servicing and repairs on a wide range of models. You will diagnose issues with modern diagnostic tools, fix components, and ensure work meets high standards while maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Training provided to become an EV accredited Technician, with starting leave at 33 days and flexible hours. Competitive £40,000–£50,000 DOE plus benefits and opportunity for salary reviews.

Qualifications

• A certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid work experience in automotive industry.
• Proficient in following written and spoken instructions with attention to deadlines.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues with diagnostic equipment.
• Repair or replace broken parts and perform DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and document procedures accurately.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and follow checklists.
