ACS Automotive in Thames Ditton is seeking an EV Technician to join our team, servicing and maintaining electric and hybrid vehicles with a focus on safety and high performance. Responsabilités

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Removing, replacing and refitting EV high-voltage battery packs, following procedures and safety guidelines.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical, electronic and mechanical faults.
• Inspecting and testing EV battery systems and components.
• Working with advanced diagnostic equipment and vehicle technology.
• Carrying out high-voltage system isolation and safety procedures where qualified.
• Identifying faults and recommending repairs.
• Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Collaborating with workshop team to maintain efficiency and customer service.

The Role

As an EV Technician, you'll be involved in the servicing, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of electric and hybrid vehicles, including high-voltage battery removal and replacement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Removing, replacing and refitting EV high-voltage battery packs, following manufacturer procedures and safety guidelines.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical, electronic and mechanical faults.
• Inspecting and testing EV battery systems and associated components.
• Working with advanced diagnostic equipment and vehicle technology.
• Carrying out high-voltage system isolation and safety procedures where appropriately qualified and authorised.
• Identifying faults and recommending appropriate repairs.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Working closely with the workshop team to maintain efficiency and deliver excellent customer service.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, ideally with exposure to electric or hybrid vehicles.
• Relevant automotive technical qualifications.
• EV / Hybrid qualifications would be a strong advantage.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• A genuine interest in electric vehicles and emerging automotive technology.
• A positive attitude, good attention to detail and the ability to work well within a team.
• Someone who takes pride in their work and is keen to continue developing their technical knowledge.

Salary & Working Hours

Salary: Competitive and very much dependent on your experience, technical ability and EV qualifications.

Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm (1-hour lunch break)

Saturdays: 1 in 3, 8:30am – 12:30pm, paid as overtime.
