Job summary
Arnold Clark in Wallsend is a busy automotive service joined in the Newcastle area, seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic to join our service team. You’ll service, repair and maintain a wide range of vehicles, using diagnostic equipment and high standards to ensure road readiness.
We offer a competitive salary (£40,000–£50,000 DOE), generous annual leave, overtime paid at time and a half, private healthcare and training to become EV accredited, plus opportunities for yearly salary reviews and
Qualifications
- Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3.
- Ability to work independently or in a busy team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Full driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
- Diagnose issues using computer-based diagnostic equipment.
- Repair or replace defective parts.
- Carry out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
- Road test vehicles after repairs.
- Maintain equipment and keep tools in good condition.
- Follow checklists and complete documentation.
