Job summary

Believ is seeking a Build Manager to lead day-to-day delivery across a patch of EV charging sites. You’ll manage from confirmed build-ready status through energisation and handover, working within a squad led by a Senior Programme Manager.

You’ll coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage contractors, navigate DNO processes, and ensure safety and quality while engaging with councils and residents. A Full UK driving licence is required and site presence is expected regularly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing multi-site infrastructure or utilities delivery with accountability for programme, cost and quality across a live pipeline of sites.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary specialists and managing contractors on site.
• Practical understanding of DNO connection processes and energising a new connection.
• Experience of works in the public highway, permitting, streetworks and reinstatement or equivalent civils/electrical delivery.
• Strong programme and planning discipline with ability to forecast and re-plan when needed.
• A safety-first mindset with authority to pause work when required.
• Confident communicator with contractors, council officers and residents.
• Comfortable working digitally and ensuring data capture and delivery systems standards.
• Hold a Full UK driving licence and be willing to be on site regularly.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day delivery of your patch of sites from build-ready to installation and handover.
• Lead a squad under the Senior Programme Manager, covering design, connections, energisation and commissioning.
• Hold contractors to account and unblock issues with DNOs and metering.
• Engage with councils, residents and other stakeholders to maintain progress and compliance.
• Ensure safety, quality and reporting standards are met across sites.
