EV Delivery Operations Manager

The EV Delivery Operations Manager will lead the operational delivery of several high-profile EV Charge Point operator accounts. Be accountable for management of ICP & DNO relationships, coordinating with and communicating across all stakeholders in a timely and transparent way. Responsible for processes and service delivery to and from ESP to support & assure the smooth delivery of end-user EV roll-out programmes and to promote ESP as a partner of choice to ICPs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Own and operate the tendering process for ICPs inclusive of setting scopes, reviewing designs and assuring ICP responses for target sites (typically EV charging LV/HV connections) within agreed SLAs.
  2. Own and operate the POC Viability Assessment process from POC to site and identify optimal solutions and outline costs within agreed SLAs.
  3. Operate ESP's programme support methodology to include - Tracking of ICP commercial/tendering progress / Tracking of ICP delivery progress/Resolution and escalation of problem sites/ICPs.
  4. Own and operate the ESP ICP Procurement System - including the maintenance and development of partner ICP rate cards.
  5. Review, Support and Coordinate (with support) - New connection designs (with partners)/Land rights/Equipment sourcing/specifications/ICP supply chain.
  6. Responsible for expediting and accelerating POC Viability and associated requests (supported by technical administration team).
  7. Responsible for accurate reporting of SLAs and KPIs for ICP (EV related) activity.
  8. To support ICP delivery of client programmes of work delivering desired outcomes of Quality, Cost, Service, Delivery, Communication & Safety.
  9. Responsible for securing viable POCs for end-users, challenging, persuading, negotiating with DNOs as required.
  10. Build and maintain DNO relationships to support the ESP proposition.
  11. Engage and coordinate ESP technical/engineering competence as required.
  12. Identify and deliver value engineering opportunities throughout the process.
  13. To manage a team of I&C Estimators, ensuring each member has clear targets, objectives, and responsibilities. Progressively monitoring their individual performance against the agreed criteria and conducting formal appraisals.
  14. Ensuring all processes have the necessary and correct resource allocated to deliver on the key objectives.

Person Specification

  1. Power Distribution (HV & LV) knowledge (probably gained from DNO/IDNO/ICP/M&E experience).
  2. Construction/Electrical/Utilities industry experience.
  3. Customer centric approach with a track record of exceeding customer expectations and maintaining high quality relationships.
  4. Highly developed senior stakeholder management skills and able to communicate clearly with customers.
  5. Experienced in coordinating stakeholders and delivering against project and business targets.
