Job summary

SWARCO Smart Mobility Solutions is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover the M4 Corridor in the United Kingdom. The role operates on a hybrid model, with daily site visits starting from home and returning home.

You will diagnose, service and repair EV charging stations, providing remote support and maintaining service records. Ideal candidates have hands-on fault-finding skills, experience with multimeters, and a driving licence meeting UK requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in a technical support or field service engineering role.
• Experience servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Experience using a multimeter and continuity testing.
• Hands-on approach with tools and fault-finding.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Right to live and work in the UK.
• Experience in EV charging, automotive, clean energy or electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily servicing and maintenance of customer EV charging stations.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, hardware, software and network-related faults.
• Complete repairs, including replacement of faulty parts and components.
• Support installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance, upgrades and warranty activities.
• Provide remote technical assistance to customers and field teams when required.
• Maintain accurate service records, daily worksheets and company vehicle mileage.
• Manage and replenish spare parts stock, ensuring equipment and materials are available when needed.
• Work collaboratively with technical, engineering and customer service teams to deliver excellent customer service.
• Support service and maintenance contracts, helping to meet agreed response times and service levels.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures and relevant electrical and EV charging standards.
• Participate in an on-call rota, approximately 1 week in 5, Monday to Monday, as required.
