Field Service Engineer - M4 Corridor - Employees work in a hybrid mode Site visits leaving from home and returning to home address.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys fault finding, working with tools and solving technical problems. You'll provide on-site and remote support to customers, helping to diagnose issues, carry out repairs and maintain charging equipment to a high standard.
What you will do
Carry out daily servicing and maintenance of customer EV charging stations.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, hardware, software and network-related faults.
Complete repairs, including the replacement of faulty parts and components.
Support installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance, upgrades and warranty activities.
Provide remote technical assistance to customers and field teams when required.
Maintain accurate service records, daily worksheets and company vehicle mileage.
Manage and replenish spare parts stock, ensuring equipment and materials are available when needed.
Work collaboratively with technical, engineering and customer service teams to deliver excellent customer service.
Support service and maintenance contracts, helping to meet agreed response times and service levels.
Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures and relevant electrical and EV charging standards.
Participate in an on-call rota, approximately 1 week in 5, Monday to Monday, as required.
What we are looking for
We're looking for someone with a practical, hands-on approach and a genuine interest in technical problem-solving. You don't need to know everything about EV charging already — we can provide full training — but you should be comfortable working with electrical equipment and diagnosing faults

Full training and development opportunities
At least 2 years’ experience in a technical support or field service engineering role.
A proven track record of carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs.
Experience using a multimeter and carrying out continuity testing.
A practical, hands-on approach and confidence using tools.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers and colleagues.
A full MANUAL UK driving licence.
Right to live and work in the UK.
No more than 3 points on your driving licence.
Experience in the EV charging, automotive, clean energy or electrical engineering sectors.
Previous experience working with charging infrastructure or similar electrical equipment.
Experience providing remote technical support.
Previous participation in an on-call or out-of-hours support rota.
Relevant engineering qualifications or technical training.
