Arnold Clark Group in Glasgow is seeking a skilled mechanic to prepare vehicles for the road. You will service, diagnose and repair a wide range of models, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid work experience in automotive industry.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a busy team.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Follow written and spoken instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspecting engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues using diagnostic tools.
• Repairing or replacing defective parts as needed.
• Carrying out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road testing vehicles to check repairs.
• Maintaining equipment and ensuring tools are in good condition.
• Following checklists to complete procedures.
• Completing all documentation to the required standard.
