Job summary

Arnold Clark in Liverpool is seeking a skilled Mechanic to service and repair vehicles, with a focus on EV technology. You’ll join a capable team, work on a range of Renault/Dacia models, and advance your skills with EV accreditation training.

Starting salary to £40,000–£50,000 DOE, with 33 days leave, flexible hours, overtime paid at time and a half, and a comprehensive benefits package including private healthcare and generous discounts. Salary reviews occur annually.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3.
• Strong communication skills, to work with customers and colleagues.
• Attention to detail and meticulous workmanship.
• Ability to work independently or in a busy team.
• Proactive and enthusiastic approach.
• Must have a full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engines and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues with diagnostic equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Carry out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road test vehicles to check repairs.
• Maintain equipment and ensure tools are in good condition.
• Follow checklists to ensure procedures are completed.
• Complete all documentation to standard.
