Job description

European Statutory Reporting Accountant

We are seeking a European Statutory Reporting Accountant to join our European Finance team in Media City, Manchester. This role offers a hybrid working schedule, excellent benefits, and the chance to be part of a global team. You will work in the office 2-3 days a week.

Your responsibilities include building relationships with audit teams, preparing audit deliverables, reviewing financial statements, analyzing variances, and presenting findings to Directors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate: Work with local accounting advisors to understand statutory adjustments under local GAAP versus US GAAP and prepare statutory financial statements.
2. Lead: Ensure the approval and filing of final financial statements in accordance with local laws. Lead ad hoc tasks and projects.
3. Proactive: Ensure timely and accurate financial statements and filings by collaborating with service providers and auditors.
4. Communicate: Act as the main contact for interpreting and implementing new accounting standards or complex accounting issues.
5. Initiative: Proactively identify and resolve issues, collaborating across functions and externally.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA), preferably from a top 10 practice.
• Experience with UK GAAP; US GAAP knowledge is a plus.
• External audit experience with up-to-date IFRS / FRS 102 skills.
• Project management skills; experience with US multinationals is beneficial.
