Job description

A hybrid working schedule, great benefits package, and the opportunity to contribute to a global team make this an appealing next role! We are seeking a European Statutory Reporting Accountant to join our European Finance team in Media City, Manchester.

Your role will be based in Media City Manchester, with an office presence of 2-3 days per week.

You will focus on building strong relationships with group and local audit teams, ensuring timely audit deliverables, and resolving issues. Your responsibilities include reviewing local financial statements, analyzing variances, understanding root causes, and presenting overviews to Directors.

A Taste of What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborate: Work with local accounting advisors to understand statutory adjustments under local GAAP vs. US GAAP, managing the preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Lead: Ensure final financial statements are approved by Directors and filed according to legislation. Lead ad hoc tasks and projects as needed.
• Pro-Active: Ensure timely and accurate financial statements and filings by working closely with service providers and auditors.
• Communicate: Act as a key contact to interpret and implement new accounting standards or complex areas.
• Initiative: Proactively identify and resolve issues, collaborating internally and externally.

We're Looking for Someone With

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) from a top 10 practice background
• Experience with UK GAAP; US GAAP knowledge is a plus but not essential
• External audit experience and current technical skills in IFRS / FRS 102
• Project management skills; experience with US multinationals is beneficial
