Job summary

EPAM Systems in London seeks a Principal - Data Centre Energy & Power to shape grid-to-compute power strategies for hyperscale data centres. You will lead power architecture, grid connectivity, BESS, microgrids and AI-driven energy optimisation for clients’ critical infrastructure.

The role requires deep domain knowledge, strong pre-sales capability and experience driving strategic partnerships with utilities and OEMs, across a hybrid work model in the UK.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in data centre power systems and grid operations.
• Deep technical knowledge of electrical architectures and OT ecosystems.
• Proven consulting with executive-level engagement.
• Ability to translate power challenges into scalable AI-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

• Advise on end-to-end power strategy including grid connections and microgrids.
• Define optimization solutions integrating EMS, EPMS, SCADA and AI forecasting.
• Design architectures bridging OT, market APIs and cloud for predictive energy management.
• Drive business growth through client pursuits and partnerships with utilities and OEMs.
• Represent EPAM in industry forums and track emerging tech like SMRs and fuel cells.
