Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Data Center Energy Lead to secure power capacity and accelerate energy delivery for its compute footprint across Europe. Based anywhere in the EU, you will navigate energy markets, grid codes, and regulatory processes to scale AI infrastructure quickly and safely.

You will own multi-hundred MW procurement, build relationships with TSOs/DSOs and regulators, and translate market dynamics into actionable capacity acceleration plans for fast deployment of AI compute capacity.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in energy procurement, utility development, or power markets for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Deep expertise in EU electricity markets and national capacity mechanisms.
• Experience securing 100+ MW of power capacity and navigating PPAs or similar offtake agreements.

Responsibilities

• Develop energy deployment strategies across EU markets to energize AI infrastructure.
• Lead energy procurement and market strategy for multi-hundred MW capacity.
• Manage regulatory stakeholders across multiple European jurisdictions and regulators.
• Translate energy market dynamics into actionable capacity acceleration plans for AI compute facilities.
• Inform site selection and deployment strategy with market intelligence on regional power availability.
