Job summary

VanRath is recruiting an Estimator-Specialist Joinery for our Dungannon operation. You will prepare cost estimates, tenders and budgets for bespoke joinery packages on high-profile projects across the UK and Ireland.

We seek a candidate with at least 3 years of surveying experience, a degree in Surveying or related field, and proven experience with NEC, JCT and FIDIC forms. Proficiency in Conquest estimating and MS Office is essential, with strong negotiation and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant surveying experience within the construction sector.
• Third level qualification in Surveying or related field.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, JCT, and FIDIC contract forms.
• Proven track record in managing contractual claims and disputes.
• Proficiency with conquest estimating packages and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within strict deadlines.
• Willingness to travel across and outside of the UK as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for bespoke joinery packages
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation to support cost planning
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Collaborate with design and project teams for seamless project handovers and pre-construction support
• Identify and mitigate project risks and opportunities during the tender process
