Job summary

Asper Recruitment is seeking a Tender Estimator for a dynamic joinery manufacturing business in Twickenham. You will cost projects using internal estimating and take-off systems, producing accurate preliminary costs for enquiries and tenders.

You will work with Account Managers and Delivery Teams to develop client relationships, price quotes for internal adjudication, and support post-tender negotiations on exciting projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in joinery manufacturing or a similar industry.
• Capable of pricing, presenting quotes, and submitting to client teams.
• Understanding of manufacturing and installation processes.
• Confidence in handling client enquiries and pricing for internal adjudication.

Responsibilities

• Using internal estimating and take-off systems to accurately cost project/enquiry.
• Calculating preliminary costs with Account Managers and Delivery Teams.
• Developing client relationships to enhance tender opportunities and margins.
• Liaising with Client and Design Team during the tender process.
• Producing sub-contract and material enquiries for joinery.
• Answering sub-contractor and supplier queries and appraising quotations.
• Checking tender documents and making amendments where required.
• Abstracting information into subcontract and material packages.
• Identifying scope for design alternatives and value engineering.
• Attending site surveys when required.
• Attend post tender negotiations with clients.

Previous experienced needed for the role:

• Joinery manufacturing experience ideally.
• Confidence in taking enquires from clients, pricing, presenting quotes for internal adjudication and submitting professionally to the client teams.
